Issue description
In the Sequence Alignment sample, the startup script (run.sh/run.bat) spceifies the location of the JPPF configuration as "-Djppf.config=jppf-gui.properties". However, in the /config folder, the jppf config file is named "jppf-client.properties".

The same occurs for the Log4j configuration file: "-Dlog4j.configuration=log4j-gui.properties" is specified instead of "-Dlog4j.configuration=log4j-client.properties".

This causes the sample to not work at all on some environments, and no logging ever occurs.
Steps to reproduce this issue
  • install the samples pack and run the Sequence Alignment sample as documented
  • ==> no log file is generated, and the jppf configuration is not taken into account
